i posted this question up earlier too, sticking with my roms atm. ARHD or VI is already doing my justice as it is. hopefully there is a loop hole later on though i don't use it unless i have to.

I'm running AOKP and in the middle of tethering using Google Chrome, my new tabs started redirecting me to the upsell page.

Just started right now for me. I have been tethering (lightly, maybe 300mb all month) for several months. Boooo

I don't use tether to much but did use my wifi hotspot a lot and when I went to elegancia I started getting those upsell pages on both google and IE. I went back to ARHD and my wifi hot spot is working again (at least on IE) without upsell. I like the stock look of elegancia but don't need an extra $15 bucks a month on my bill so I'll stick to ARHD as long as it works or untill they find a fix/workaround for other roms

Simply download the BARNACLE tether APK from market and your good to go. No issue with using teather.......

Not yet. Just reloaded ARHD last night. I will drop my request in Chef Steve's lap over the week end and see if he will accept the challenge...lol

OK after some further testing I still get an upsell on Google. No surprise as to who is in bed together, lol... Still concerned about not being to see super cid with cid getter. It still says tmob010..read more, test more haha. I ran adb commands (connected) 6 times and each time I got cid 11111111 returned. When I got to cid getter I get TMOB010...hummm. Also I'm not able to sync with this rom mod. Need to check with dev.

One other thing, when you exceed your limit and they slow you down!...they really slow you down...dial up would be faster, lol
