OOhh kaaay,After setup and sync got a random reboot and then went into bootloop,,,anyone else, any suggestions???
The phone should reboot twice after the initial flash. That's a2sd setting up. On the 3rd one, it should be good to go.
So don't try to rush and set anything up before it does. If you're not partitioned, it shouldn't be an issue (not sure if it'll still reboot, bit that could be what happened to you). If it causes issues for others, I can remove it.
In the meantime, I'd try a reflash.

Nothing besides what's posted in the OP. Not sure what this Connections Optimizer is all about, but I'll try to ROM out for a few and see how my battery does. The only other thing was the App Associations thing - to put HTC in patent compliance.

Yes, all that went as normal, what im saying is after flash and initial (a2sd)) reboot, i let it set for a few minutes, didmy normal setup, got through it all, and after the data sync it just rebooted and then boot looped (im talkin like 6 or 7 loops) so i did a battery pull wiped data, cache and dalvic, rebooted, went through setup again and now all seems fine so far. was just weird. fooled around with it for a few minutes and all is running smooth as the ol ladys ass(and ,damn her ass is pretty smooth). Anyhow, Im gonna play around with some kernels and se what kinda trouble i can cause. Thanks again captain

Got stock, rooted prior update with A2SD partitions from a previous run on another rom.
Since I'm rooted on stock (unlocked via htcdev), can I upgrade this in place and reasonably expect my data to be intact (yes, I'll make a backup just in case) or will this completely wipe me out?

Definitely nandroid first, but you can try just wiping cache & dalvik prior to flashing and see what happens. The ROM zip won't wipe anything.
UPDATE: From my last post, all is moving smoothly, musta been a fluke. What I really wanted to comment on this time was Internal storage. Straight outa the box I started 350mb available space, after uninstalling all the bloat and stuff Ididnt need or want and reinstalling all the apps i normally use via titanium backup, I ended up with 400mb free, Yes I said 400mb free. F#@&ING Phenominal man. I have never had this much free internal storage before. I also installed the Lionfish-1.8-bright kernel and am pretty pleased with the performance so far, dont know about battery life yet but Ill let ya'll know after it runs for a while. All for now I guess,,,Later

Well, looks like I need some more drive space, so getting my a2sd back up and running is priority, and I can use that rignt now.
If it works it works, if not, I'll restore my nandroid and if it completely blows up, its time for retentions to cough up a 4g LTE since this is my third EVO 4g refurb..... :D
Wish me luck.....time to send this bad boy around the dark side of the moon.....
Many thanks to you Captain for your diligence in tracking down the cause of the wifi/4g bug. Congratulations on seeing this through to completion and making your first ROM. Your contributions to the Evo community just keep getting better. We are all in your debt.
