And honestly they shouldn't make too much difference, but if you want to give it a shot I suggest trying the latest ones you can find (in this case the ones for XXLA2 or UGLA4) but these should hopefully already be included in your ROM if you are running 4.0.4. XXLA2 is the official 4.0.4 radio.
I'm NOT the one looking for them. I was asking Karl what the names of the files he was looking for are? One of the ones I listed? 2 of them? All of them? A different file?

I'm trying to figure out which is the RIL file...

I'm curious about that getRil app. Why would you need to match the RiL with the radio?

I did a search for ril on my device, and this is what came up:

/vendor/lib/libsec-ril.so
/system/bin/rild
/system/lib/libril.so
/system/lib/libreference-ril.so
/system/lib/libsecril-client.so

Are these the files you need, but for UGLC1?

Not sure which is THE "RIL" file you guys are talking about, but here are all the files that have "ril" in the file name, that came with the UGCL1 radio.

EDIT: They go in the directories I mentioned above. BACKUP YOUR CURRENT ONES FIRST.
Attached Files
File Type: zip RIL-UGCL1.zip - [Click for QR Code] (615.5 KB, 44 views)

from what ive been told matching radio and RIL is good for signal stability and battery consumption

I'm using uglc1 with xxla2's ril without issues. I don't think it makes a huge difference.

Thanks for this, i'll test and report back. I'm going to guess we only need the ones from system/lib as those were the only ones i needed to RIL match on my DZ. I know it's a different phone/company but i'll give it a shot.

I would replace ALL of them, as I'm pretty sure the one in /vendor is needed...

EDIT: Looks like only the /vendor/lib/libsec-ril.so is needed (assuming the GetRil app is correct), NOT the other ones.

So far its worked out ok with just the 3, i'll try this for a day then add the /vendor in and see how it compares.

Edit: So using the GetRil app with just the 3 applied from /system/lib showed that my phone still had the XXLA2 RIL.
I added in the one from /vendor as you mentioned and now GetRIL app is showing an unknown RIL. Hasn't seemed to affect performance just thought i'd mention the change.

If I get confirm from you and others that they actually work better (than what is currently in your ROM) and which ones are needed, I'll package them up as a CWM-flashable zip.

Well i can confirm that we definitely don't need the rild file from /system/bin, that killed my signal completely.
