Or however many periods. I already unlocked my bootloader [changed to SuperCID(11111111)] so I found that odd that it remained CWS and not 111.
Anywho, I just unlocked my BL and ran the 1.73 [shipping RUU] installer to hopefully downgrade. It went as far as to the "waiting for bootloader" message on the 1.73 installer then displayed an error. I'm not really in the mood to mess around with it, But I'm just sharing my results here. The CWS at the top of my copied over "misc" file still seems odd..
You have to Re-Lock the bootloader before flashing an official RUU again (fastboot oem lock)
The flashing of the RUU will also restore the original recovery image in case you already swaped it for CWM.

After the downgrade you can un-lock and root again.

Follow the instructions in the OP, then relock, then run RUU to downgrade....if I understand correctly.

I can confirm this works, relocking the Bootloader was the key issue for me. Until I relocked I kept getting a 155 error in the RUU

Are you sure you pulled the right partition? There are a couple of partitions that are blank but I can't remember exactly which ones. Make sure it was the misc (mmcblk0p23) partition.

Sent from my HTC One X using XDA
MyTouch 4G (rooted, superCID, etc)

HTC One X Rooted (No S = Off ... yet )

I am doing this too as an exchange due to a defect in my screen. Is warranty an issue here with the leaked ruu? I mean, TECHNICALLY it's stock, right? Or can you play ignorant on this one?

They just powered it on to make sure it worked.

I doubt store associates even know what the stock firmware number is or anything like that.

Had no problems whatsoever.
