Default [Q] hboot 1.5 and s-off

I got my broken evo 3d back from htc today and still have s-off but hboot 1.5 installed and stock rom. What do i need to do to get root back.

Not been in this situation personally, but as far as I know, since you are s-off, you should be able to flash a recovery and then use it to flash a custom ROM that is already rooted. You may be able to install the Superuser app without having to go through all that, but, like I said, I am not 100% sure.
Phone: Evo3d on HBoot 1.4 S-Off
ROM: Homebrew New Batch by Powduh09
Recovery: 4ext Touch Recovery

Look in the sticky, flash the 1.4 HBOOT.
Find the TWRP thread, flash that.
Flash a ROM of your choice.

I totally just realized that the majority of my thanked posts are from where I posted my "3D seatbelt pic".

If all you're wanting is to root the stock ROM, flash a custom recovery, then flash the superuser.zip.
Phone: Toroplus (Sprint Galaxy Nexus LTE)
ROM: CM 10.1 nightly
Baseband: GA02

Retired: Samsung Moment, HTC Evo 3D, Samsung Epic 4g Touch Galaxy SII

Who say's Sprint's LTE is slow?

Default hboot 1.5 and s-off

Thanks everyone. My bootloader is locked and I'm 1.5 and s-off. So if i flash hboot 1.4 on my sd card. then a recovery along with a rom. That should get me back?

If your boatloader is locked you can't install a custom recovery or a Rom.

If it says S-OFF hboot 1.4, you my good friend are free to flash whatever you want. Happy flashing.
