No the free version gets updated a lot less than the donate version. If you really like the theme then there is no reason why you shouldn't buy it and support razer.

I have the Donate version but the volume and power menu are not themed. These used to be themed in the flashable zip any ideas how to get the same with the apk?

One thing you need to remember, donation is an option and not mandatory.
As long as themes couldn't be uploaded to the market as dedicated the themers were they have never forced you to "donate" them. But now they can and they're doing so.
I'm in no way underestimating Razer's hard work, but at least be fair and don't call it a donate version especially when the price is as twice as most other themes.

Donate is still an option, there is a free version and it's really good.

You've got phones that cost 500-600€, and i can't believe 2€ is too much for something you use and see every second that you're holding the phone in your hands.

The screen where you enter your pin for unlocking the SIM card is still ICS blue and not themed.
