I don't have the "Set password" option under "Credential storage". Did they move it somewhere else?
I'm using a GN with AOSP and Franco kernel.

If yes, can you screencast it? I'm sure that would be helpfull for a lot of people.

It works for me with My Desire HD and a stock rom.

This means that wpa_supplicant on this stock rom can handle EAP-SIM

What is missing is the GUI to configure it.

For those who do not want to root their phone, or edit the file manually
here it is an app configuring the FreeWifi_secure network for you.

Tested on an desire HD with stock rom and not rooted.

You still need to follow these steps

Only once:

edit: These two steps are to unlock the keystore. I've the same behavior with any EAP method wifi network (not only EAP-SIM)
more detail here: ttp://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=6208

edit2: remove attached apps, you can get it on Google Play: play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.bubuabu.freewificonfig
