Slcd or amoled? If amoled there is not much to be done. If slcd that's been discussed a while ago. I wish I knew which thread.

I'm not talking about the work around that uses software encoding. That can't record video at an acceptable frame rate and also breaks video playback. I am talking about a real fix that uses the hardware encoder.

I have ran this ROM since its first day.

Has anyone tried the nightlies from the other thread?

Any opinions if I should migrate to that ROM for any reason in particular?

Personally I think this is smoother, but that's something you would have to judge yourself.

As of the current nightly build, the a8 build is smoother. The reason for this is because of a change made upstream that reduces performance with a certain operation on the Adreno GPUs. It is necessary to use a line in the board configuration file to switch back to the old behavior. I sent invisiblek (the poster of the other thread) a PM informing him of this, so hopefully he will add it and the transistions will go back to being smooth again.

Noticed that the nightly builds have been updated a few times lately. Wondered if there may be a new update in the works for this one, too. No rush, a8 has been running great. Guess I'm just getting an itchy flashing finger again.
