In case, if you lost your original boot.img and recovery.img, Pls flash this files and recover your lost phone.

Actually rooting this phone is difficult part. We have to try again and again with superoneclick.

I have added motofail exploit with this.


Tricky part is rooting this phone with SuperOneClick

When superoneclick hangs on 7th step, do as per below instruction.

1. goto phone settings->applications->development->USB debugging uncheck it and recheck it again.

2. now click root again.

If not works, try a couple of time, again and again. you will succeed.

In this method, I have rooted lot of times.

Thats all, your phone will be rooted now, have fun.

Dear John, Thank you for your work, I am seller of this unit A9220 here in Brazil and it helped me a lot. But a problem arose, the manufacturer has updated the ROM inside him for nearly 700mbs and are already well come from the factory. Now when I try to root displays the following message
I just tried and got the error message:

EBOOT ERROR: (16008)

[Android] Partition size changed!

[HINT]:
Partial images download error.
The Following down partitions must be downloaded all together FULL

I think it's incompatible with the "Scatter" and need to release another. Can you help me?

Hello everybody, my name is Julian, my first post here
wanted to thank you for the tips, could not do any root at all and following this tutorial could system.img by using the flash tool, but now I wonder how I can do a full backup of my rom because I'm wanting to do a modification on my bar status and makes it transparent and perhaps change the toolbar icons as well, so in case of any mistake I have my rom functional saved, then how to do the full backup is in recovery mode has this option?

hi i bought this phone and here is my problem...when i put the Sims in they r not getting registered there is a X mark on the signal icon and when i search for all available networks i can see all of them and when i try to register it its not locking on to it please help...thanks

Please try "Settings" => "SIM management" => put a "tick" on the SIM information before you can use it (them). Thank you.

Thanks for your help here.
I had been trying to root with no success but this tip was very helpful - I had unchecked usb debugging then started root then when paused on 2nd line I then checked usb debugging -This then allowed rooting to complete to end . Hope this is helpful.
