I'm surprised anyone posted on this dead thread. I was so busy with my senior year of college i didn't bother updated the post. I finished the project and moved on. Battery charging works, pogo works but the plastic is cheap and doesn't hold the phone very well. I dont use the pogo charging anymore because of the poor construction but the battery charger works great and I use it to charge my spare battery. I have PCB layouts and schematics for the charging circuit. I am sure you could use cheaper LiPo chargers instead of the LP3947 I ended up using.
