Default Heat issue

Have you guys noticed how hot the phone gets while charging or while watching a youtube video for example. I have recorded temperatures as high as 113 F.

It gets so hot, I cannot leave my hand on it for more than 10s without feeling the sensation of burning. All the heat is concentrated around the camera lens. During that time, applications tends to crash a lot, especially the browser. This will shorten the battery life and the ever small electronic components on the phone.

This is a big design flaw, HTC should not have released this phone with this kind of heat issue, especially considering that this is something you hold with your hands and it is so noticeable. I am pretty sure they tested it and found out about it, but decided to do nothing about it, what were they thinking? I would have never release a phone that generate this much heat.

I have owned many smartphones and this is by far, very far the hottest, especially when compared to the iPhone.

I am very tempted to return it before my 30 day return policy is over, and wait for the samsung g3.

Does not sound normal, Tegra 3 had this issue but not the One XL.

You may need to exchange it. My phone barely gets warm, that's it. 85ish is normal for me

if it's reaching 110 and over in a relatively cool environment, then yeah, it may be a problem.

The iPhone 4s released with a widespread heat problem, btw. I don't think it's a design flaw at all, you probably just got a hot unit.

I only notice high(er) heat temperatures when using LTE. That's a given. The heat is partly due to the battery discharging.

To make it really cook, use google nav for 15 minutes with GPS on.

I notice the phone getting hot while using Navigation and charging at the same time for 20+ minutes. Otherwise I don't notice any heat build up.
