Thanks, but i cannot even install CWM, so i cannot flash this zip, really frustrating now, after installing cwm, and rebooting to recovery, screen goes Blank, nothing there, need to reboot the phone.

Might leave it for now, until someone can verify that it can be done, just soo frustrating.

That is the version of CWM i am using, and it seems to work fine on ICS apart from mounting SD Card

I have been using Paul O'Brien Mod, and i have had no problem with it up until now, may give the other one a go, but not tonight maybe tomorrow, i have had enough of Flashing and relocking for one day. Lol

The old one won't work with the new Hboot. Partition layout has been changed

Thanks Andy, that is why then, will have to try and install this version then, is it the same procedure as the old one do you know ??

Yeah just fastboot flash recovery xxxx.img. That update .zip does not work though. I get status (0) error (Wrong update binary) I'll google around see if i can find a working one. Maybe someone should ask ben or alex or someone to make us one

Ok we now have working root for the ICS OTA update. Biiiig thanks to Alex-V for providing the update script and correcting the noob errors i made

Just flash from recovery

First go here and download touch recovery and put it in fastboot folder on pc
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...php?p=25687937

Then go to shingers5 post about the new root tool and download that and put it on sd card

Once you've unlocked bootloader, flash recovery 'fastboot flash recovery ******' from command prompt the stars are the name of recovery img... then reboot bootloader, boot into recovery then flash the root tool zip from recovery.

Reboot phone and your done
