As I wrote in my previous post - the new cwm version.

What you wrote means that I have to flash a new rom in order to use a newer kernel - right?

What I don't understand is. Chainf. did a kernel for LP7. The new ICS ROM for base in germany is only one month old and it needs LP7 - so if it's only some days old, this won't be a backport - am I wrong?

You don't need to flash a new rom in order to get the latest kernel in most situations. In my case for example right now I have XWLPD based rom working perfectly with XXLPW kernel. Of course you should always make full backups when installing any new kernel.

Hi guys....I downloaded "CF-Root-SGS2_XW_OXI_LPF-v5.5-CWM5.zip".....this recovery is not "semi-touch", well, i mean: when i enter in recovery mode, i can only use the volume button and the power button in order to select each voice. The older recovery, instead, allowed me to scroll each voice by using the menů button, and to select the voices by using the home button........can you help me???

Thats not a problem or a bug... it's just how that recovery is. Want something else, then install a custom kernel... there is plenty of them about.

Hi,
Can U' make a rooted kernel for I9100UHLPI or I9100UHLPK from Argentina?

I usually Post in a Latin American Blog... and there's a lot of users who can't wait for this... please .. give us a hope!

Argentina, Chile, Panama, Guatemala, Brasil, Ecuador y Uruguay use the same base rom, there's a lot of users who needs your help.

I don't think you need an insecure kernel specific to your region (UH - LatAm/Caribbean). All your regions/carriers customisations would be in your csc already. Also most OPs don't generally go back to do older kernels.

I'd give CF-Root-SGS2_XX_XEO_LPQ-PROPER-v5.4-CWM5.zip from post # 8 on this thread a try as it worked for me on UHLPE and UHLPQ.

Note: The kernels with *** next to them in that post have issues so pay attention to choose the correct one.
If someone helped you tell everyone by clicking "Thanks", if they didn't, hopefully they will next time around.

The home button doesn't work in CWM recovery in 5.5.
