FRX and GBX have about the same apps/wifi issues. App issues are usually related to the app not running on old/outdated hardware. Sometimes it's related to our port not supporting it, and quite often we've been able to work around those issues.

Wifi issues are always user related. There's an FAQ that deals with a particular issue if our port can't sort out your MAC address and wifi never works. This is rare, but certain phones do experience it.

Default TouchPro2 - Still Good!

I'm on Verizon using the TouchPro2 with windows mobile 6.5 and now Microsoft has closed the MarketPlace for apps for Windows Mobile! I plan to upgrade to a Windows Phone 8 when they come out this fall. Hopefully I will be able to stay on Verizon, but I'll switch carriers if Verizon isn't seriously on board with Windows Phone by that time. I'm hopeing for a keyboard slider as good as or better than the TouchPro2. My question: Where is there a source of 6.5 apps for the TouchPro2?

Thank you, to all of you that take your time to share!

Hi,

My head is now spinning after reading through the reems of information about using Android on a HTC Touch Pro2.

Is there a simple guide for simple folk to installing Android?

Which is the latest and bestest version?

(With simple folk in mind) is dual boot still recomended or is kill-windows best?

What are he main features that are currently non functional when using Android?

Be gentle, it's all rocket science to me

If the current instruction set is too far above your head, then I suggest reading carefully and spend some time going over everything before you attempt anything. Not trying to be rude, but there are several great threads containing a wealth of knowledge on this subject. That being said, it is dangerous to flash ROMs and NAND Android builds. There is always a possibility of bricking your device and leaving you with an expensive paperweight. Therefore, we generally do not make guides with "simple folk" in mind. We make guides assuming the person using the guide knows what he needs to know in order to follow instructions carefully and thoroughly.

The gist of it is that if you don't understand how to do something, read, read, read, read, read, then read some more. Make sure you FULLY understand everything before you attempt anything. We'll be glad to answer questions, but we will not do the work for you or hold your hand through it.

My honest suggestion to you would be to use the SD builds, since they will not brick anything. If something goes wrong with one of those, just pull out the SD card and pull the battery to reboot.

OK, thank you for the frank answer.

I'll do some study and try the SD build first, as you suggest. That at least has reduced the amount of material to cover.

Thanks again.
