I'd like to try out the new kernel and compare it to speedmood. But I am confused as if I will have a feeling of how the kernel is performing right away. Is the need of waiting for a couple of battery cycle a myth or is it really needed ? And what is the technical reason behind this rule ? I've posted the same question in Q&A but I have not been able to get a dev's answer yet.

Flashed r4 on my KD v2.0
It looks good after a few minutes of use...
I'm testing now the Wifi sleep policy issue
Will report later...

Just installed r4 on LPY
installed through CWM
WiFi isn't connection. Refused to obtain IP.
Went back and wiped davik and cache
Reinstalled
Still the same refusal to get an IP.

Deal killer if I can't connect to wifi.
Any ideas?

+1 mobile data very slow. Opening pages is a pain atm. at munich airport ,very good connection.

EDGE is running as fast as H+.

Most of the time mobile data speed depends on your carrier and its load.

And this speed is on H :( so far a veeeery good kernel. But this data speed is killing me

hmm i dont think Edge (2.5g network) would run as fast as an H+ (3.5g network)...edge is capped at 100-400kbps whilst hspa+ runs at least between 1-3mbps...if that is the case then your network is doing a big disservice and is misleading their consumers...
