Default [Q] No sim card

Today suddenly my phone say "no sim card" and is not detecting any sim card.
I tried to factory reset phone but it did not helP.
Pls help

Did you even try getting a new sim card

I get this sometimes if my phone gets too hot for some reason. If I power off the phone and give it a chance to cool down, it works when I turn it back on.

Hi. My names.common sense. Have we met? Did u try taking the sim card out? What were u doing when this happened? Have u tried any other fixes before posting? Moaar info is needed.

My phone was working till Saturday.
I was roaming and so I disabled the data and switched off the phone.
When I can back , I restarted the phone it did not pick the sim card .
It said "No Sim Card".
I factory rested the phone and tried a new sim card .
still it is not working.

warranty. If you've done nothing to the phone at the time it broke, changing sim card, and cleaning the contact points do nothing.

I spoke with ATT warranty center and they are saying if your phone is not able to read sim card it's not covered by warranty.
Not sure what to do now.

That's ridiculous ! Did you speak to someone in store or on the phone? That should really be covered

I spoke with someone on phone
I did speak with samsung Customer care now. They said they will repair the phone and send it back.

EDIT:

I'm on ICS 4.0.3 , trying to get the phone back to stock by using this method , will there be any problem ?
