I have solved higher dpi problem I'll upload zip tomorrow morning (CEST).

Hi all

My girlfriend just pointed out that she doesn't have access to all of the symbols when she is using the Physical keyboard.

She is on a German Desire Z and so I set the language of the keyboard to German. When she presses FN SYM, 12 symbols appear but on the Stock rom, this was paginated so that she had access to others.

Notable omissions are < > ^ among others

When she uses the on screen keyboard, no problems as there is a second page to the symbol list

Is there a quick way I can get these back for her? I will deal with the upgrade to b37 at the weekend if I can

Check out the Enhanced Keymaps in my signature, has the keys you've mentioned & others. It will work on this ROM also.

SYM is switched to FN+Space. So yes, the key binding still exists, it's just as another character. The main thing is though is that most of the characters in SYM are binded to the keyboard, which makes the key mostly useless.

Okay I just checked the thread to make sure but, Sym is the same for the Germany keyboard. MENU has been replaced as special key 1 with \|^ binded for you

It is not possible unless you edit the framework, unfortunately. Maybe print out a cheat sheet of the new characters for her?

Um, I don't know, I'll test it out to see if that happens. I could reflash this with the included kernel and try as well, but I'd rather not. I never use data connection anyway, to save battery power. I only turn it on when I need to send/receive an MMS or something. Like I said though, I'll leave data on, turn on WiFi for a few hours, turn it off and see what happens.
