unroot 3 step method

i rooted my thunderbolt with the 3 step method. any ideas how to unroot since im eligible for an upgrade soon? thanks

Why do you have to unroot to get an upgrade?

because i dont want them to give me any crap for it or to give me a hard time. you never know, ive hears mixed stories from people on here

I think he meant, you don't give them your old phone when upgrading.

I believe there is an unroot.zip floating around somewhere. I stumbled across it a while back, but never used it. You can also flash a complete stock RUU and go back to factory as well.

Thy don't take your old phone when you upgrade so you won't need to unroot. Unless you are sending the phone in as an exchange toward the new phone. In which case, you will need to unrest and lock the boot loader.
