Question [Q] What kernel or ROM works for my Xperia Play?

Hi everyone, I have a Xperia Play R800a

Firmware: Stock SE 4.0.2.A.0.42

Im from Costa Rica and in my country I use CDMA(3G) & GSM

I have unlocked the bootloader, so I want to install some Kernel or ROM.

Which Kernel or ROM can advise me?

I dont want to make a change and screw my device haha cuz I dont have money to buy another =P

Thanks.

Really? Nothing happens if I install something build from R800i or any other model?

And the GSM at the begin of the posts, dont gonna leave me without CDMA?

Thanks!

I don't think it matters. I used to have a stock r800at but I installed TrueAncestor v. 1.4b and it changed it to an r800i. I haven't seen any problems in the month I've used it!

Falsh the enhanced version of stock rom .58 and after flashing your r800a will become r800i. Then flash doom kernel through fastboot. Then search for any gingerbread rom and flash through CWM. Thats all.

Yep, they work perfectly in Latin America, just make sure to do a nandroid (full backup) and you should be fine, then you can test every ROM out there with a backup to rely on and roll back if necessary.
