Hey everyone-
Its actually been probably about a year or so since I tried Android on my vogue, but I'd like to set it up for a family member who is on a grandfathered plan (no additional data plan required).

I remember Myn's warm donut being pretty solid, however I would like her to have the ability to do more like Google Navigation (which I recall was very hit or miss on eclair and donut).

I'm looking at all this, however, and realizing just how little I remember. I'd think I'd like to use Haret (and not replace WinMo in case this doesn't work out so well), but I'm kind of lost as to how to go setting up the .tgz file that I downloaded. I placed it into the andboot directory, and it seems to fail at booting.

Also, is there a particular version that folks say is more stable versus others? I picked Super Froyo afer seeing other threads recommend it.

Sorry my friend. I've forgotten almost all of the details. Myn's Warm Donut is fast and stable, although Donut is hard to rock these days.

I always thought Super Froyo was the best. A little buggy, but it was my daily for a while. I was always partial to RLS 12.
Galaxy Nexus GSM : Stock JB...good as is (thank you Google )
Kindle Fire : unofficial AOKP should be official it's so good (thank you dw9906 & H@SHCODE!)

retired OG Droid : Bugless Beast (thank you Peter Alfonso!)

I have Htc Polaris 100 and i want to try your roms mentioned up (Myn's Warm Donut and Super Froyo) but in archive i found just androidinstall.tgz or androidinstall.tar.

if someone can help me to upload version SD HARET TO Myn's Warm Donut (with all files: androidinstall.tgz, haret, izma, intrd and other files need to run ) and

Super Froyo (with all files: androidinstall.tgz, haret, izma, intrd and other files need to run) i'm tired to try again and again without results.

thanks in advance and sorry for my english.

Cool Still problem with missing apps in Android Market

Hi

Boy is this an old thread - but then again the HTC Polaris Pola100 that I installed this rom on IS pretty old! (thanx for the rom!)

My problem is that I can't find the apps I want in Android Market. I see earlier in this thread, that it used to be a problem - is it still not fixed, or am I doing it wrong?

Regards
Engberg

Yesterday I tried just about every rom and kernel combination for my mom's xv6900 Verizon Vogue. This was the first I tried - and after many, many hours of trying the others... this is the best. I only wish I could remember if I used the 240x320-2.6.32-froyo-14-01-11_14.nbh or the 2.625. I lost track after 4am, especially after renaming them.

The camera is working. I haven't tested BT - but my mom never uses any of the BT's that I by for her anyway ;) She's 68 and learning to use an android - that's pretty cool in itself.

Many thanks to Incubus26Jcs for all of the hard work and revisions. My mom absolutely hated win6.1. She's really enjoying Android - it's like getting her a new phone.
  • Has anybody gotten the video camera to work. I get force close?
  • Is it possible to uninstall Launcher Pro leaving "launcher" intact as default?
  • Has anybody else noticed that the screen is in reverse for a few seconds upon reboot?
  • is there a workaround for the Market to not only recognize but actually install apps via USB?

Default Unable to send texts

I installed this ROM a couple days ago, but none of the text messages I've sent have been received... I get incomming texts fine but nothing I send, nor any of my replies get received at the other end, even though my phone says they've been sent. Am I missing something? On the Bell network with a Touch (Vogue). Thanks.
