Has anyone run into an issue where flashing the contacts apk causes the dialer app to be deleted? Contacts look beautiful inverted, but I can no longer dial... (still make calls from contacts and receive calls normally though.) I admit: I'm new to flashing custom system apk's and may be overlooking something that is child's play. So far, reinstalling the original contacts.apk restores the dialer. Is it something to do with my flavor of CM9? Suggestions appreciated.

It happened to me installing amoledblue theme, which uses inverted apps. The themer fixed it, so I honestly don't know what was wrong. Maybe you can ask him

I see what you mean. It looks like decalex is using Travisp's inverted apps. correct me if i'm wrong, but travisp's inverted gapps are different from these we have posted here. aren't they?

it seems as though amoled blue was having the same problem with contacts as I am, but they fixed it by updating travisp's inverted gapps as included in the ROM.

either way, thanks for the hint. I'll try flashing travisp's inverted contacts and see what happens.

They kinda fixed it: Contacts is now white bg with black text. No big deal, for me, but not a real inverted app. Don't know what happened.

I'm still looking for a way to get inverted contacts on entropy's Ics without breaking the dialer. Is that what you're taking about?
