Possible fix to lags.

After some research, i found that there are some things that prevent some tuning scripts to apply.

For example, the sysctl.conf file that contains multiple tuning parameters of the kernel and the TCP layer are not applied.

If someone can test it, under ADB, try sysctl -p, i had this output:

sysctl: bad line 1: 1 tokens found, 2 needed
sysctl: short write

if i check the current values, they are not set to the one in the file.

try SEUS(Sony Ericsson Update Service) to install fresh v2.3.3 GingerBread directly from sony site, download this SEUS file -> http://www-support-downloads.sonymob...-2.11.12.5.exe

note: select your device(X10) then it will take time to download v2.3.3 firmware+app, remember to select continue installing(something like that) to overwrite all files that's it...

Seems there is no problem with your phone, driver and flashtool,
the only problem is you cant to install xrecovery right? but you already
pass for root access right ?
If so, but i'm not recommend this for you due to some reasons ,
but if you really want to use this rom in your phone, here u go :
1. Try to push z's xrecovery files (extract its from below zip file),
Permission Set : 0 0 0755 or ( rwe-re-re ) for all of them :
push chargemon and charger file into below dir :
system/bin
and push xrecovery.tar and sh file into below dir :
system/xbin
Then download busybox and install it, update your superuser binary if
necessary and reboot.
Try to access xrecovery.
or
2. Try to Unlock your Bootloader and Flash
DoomKernel v6 Boot Manager 2.0 medium OC is safe,
or Ferakernel (baseband is included).
Both of these kernels are having recoverys (integrated).
And again, i'm not recommend this to you and stock rom is also fine and safe.

Goodluck

hello guys,

I was trying to install Feralab`s custom rom on my x10 2.3.3 stock rooted and with CWM Recovery installed and locked bootloader, i put the feralab v20 LB and the customization files on sdcard and then i boot into CWM and do a full backup.

when backup was finished i wiped system, data and cache and then i started the rom update by opening rom from card and after a short time i got the following error:

Code:
Opening update package...
Installing update...
Amending scripting (update-script) is no longer supported.
Amend scripting was deprecated by Google in Android 1.5
and now i`m stuck with a bricked phone on Sony Ericsson logo (no red/blue led blinks).

i also tried to start the phone in flash mode by pressing back key and flashtool won't recognize the phone and keeps asking me which type of phone is connected: here is the log from flashtool

Try to remove ads block, you can try Rom Toolbox and clear/wipe Browser's cache and data if necessary.

FYI

Hi bro, I'm also a noob thats y I'm always follow OP's installation for any custom roms. Please read OP carefully !
First try to pull out your phone's battery at least for 10 sec, then :
Try to use Flashtool to flash original x10's firmware for 2.3.3, find it on the couple of previous page, or u can try SEUS to revert to original on flash mode.
Then follow OP for installation
PS : I'm always use xrecovery (recomended)
to flash this rom.
