What you forgot to mention is how exactly you use your phone. "I didn't use the phone all day long." is very thin.
I can make my battery drain like wild by simply turning on 3G and letting it sit there doing it's thing ... battery empty in ~7-8 hours, and "not used all day long".
You seem to forget that battery life entirely depends on your usage among a few other things.
Provide a battery usage history and we can look from where your drain comes from; just saying "it's bad" is a very thin statement.
when i said "not used all day long" i really meant that. no 3g, no wifi, no gps, not even a message sent or received, nor a phone call. probably just a few minutes with screen on.
despite my low post count, this is not my first rodeo. i've had this X8 for over a year, and have tried rom after rom after rom. i probably only had the stock for over a couple of weeks, and had it rooted after only a couple days (damn operator applications).
but i appreciate your comment
on other news, i've downgraded (more like, upgraded, having the results in account) to the v25.
it has 90% still left, after 12 hours being on. with the same usage as before.
Sorry for this funny picture, but batery usage looks like this With the screen on only for 44minutes for 16hours of usage.
I think it says more than enough. Because battery drains even with the phone being in stand by.
p.s. no special apps that could drain battery is installed. With the same usage v023 stays for 48hours+
i think it is a well known fact, but just to be sure, I have to mention it.
For me, battery drain happens always after using GPS. Doesn't matter, how long, it might only by on for few seconds and then switched off. But battery drains after that. So what I do, to prevent this is, after stopping GPS - reboot, and all is fine.
I am using phone normally, and the battery lasts always for more than two days. Of course, airplane mode for the night....

This happens on my phone too.

im on stock rom for couple of days and today im back on gingerdx v026. when im on stock, my battery last about three hours with full browsing (data enabled) / lost about 70%. on standby, i lost 5% overnight, without anything enabled, except the gsm signal. today with gingerdx i lost 35% in full browsing and some music playing for about 1,5 hours. but i only lost 1% when im on work today/the phone is sleeping (only gsm signal is on). in my opinion, if we use our phone in daily usage, (data, wifi, etc are not always turned on), gingerdx is better than stock.
i also compare with my brothers xperia ray (stock rom and unrooted) which has 1500mah battery (ours is only 1300mah). on stand by, he lost about 5% overnight. so ithink this rom makes our x/w8 more battery friendly. its my experience and i love using this rom, its a stable and complete rom i guess.
note: i didnt flash the overclock module coz i dont think its necessary for my daily usage and i think it makes the sound lags even when im not overclocking (not confirmed yet), but after i deleted the x8oc, the sound is great.
sorry for this long post, just sharing here.
is not that consume too much of your batteries is caused by the exhaustion of their cicle of life?
is about 1 year that you possess the 'X8 and its battery, right ?
