But when i carefully observe, i see that on downloading an app there is a slight increase used up internal memory (the original one of 160 mb).
Is it coz all my apps go by default on SD card (due to some work i saw and followed from the net before rooting). Then i link them manually using link2sd???
I knw i sound confusing
lol you sound confused.
Ok here's how it goes.
Link2sd creates a false sense of hope by saying it gives you increased memory, it doesn't It moves a portion of the app you have installed to the ext2 partition but not all of it. Data and dalvik still remains on the original internal part, which is pointless. I know you have the option to move it but it still does not work. Take for example. Facebook. Huge size. so lets move it via link2sd, you move it...says its moved. so u carry on for a week, all of a sudden your internal is dropping again. Why? Facebook will not move its data to the ext2 partition, but the the main app is. So all link2sd is really is a partial mover. like moving an app 2 the SD.
If you are a noob, which somehow your i think not...you have root etc already i'd suggest using data2sd to Actually increase your memory.
so no 160mb(150mb)+1gb Internal it will say 1.1Gb Internal-FACT!
*Note, to use data2sd you require an unlocked bootloader/S-OFF and a recovery installed*
My recommendation is to swap your EXT2 for EXT3 using mini tool partition wizard only, or follow this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1565898
don't bend the rules on size on ext3 either, this will affect your rom if your oversized!
