I do know what I am doing. Noobies may not. Hell, TDJ was even advocating the use of this recovery until this second batch of bricks started. I also know super wipe scripts have been around longer than ICS. TDJ has been a dev on here for a long time and these aren't the first phones he has had one on and I am sure other dev's have them as well. 99% of the problems people clog up the dev threads with, asking the same questions over and over, is because they didn't wipe properly or fix permissions. The main part of what I said in my last post is that CWM and ICS do not play all that well together. That is what you do not know what you are talking about.

I never said they play well together. I never brought up CWM at all, in fact. Also, "noobies" should read and learn, not rely on one click root methods or wipe all scripts.

The fact that CWM and ICS don't play well together coupled with user error and stupidity is why things like the Superwipe and the cache wipe script exist. They are not stupid and unneccesary!!! And calling out a dev on the fact that he advocates their use, when almost every ROM on this board and the T989 board ask you to run that STUPID superwipe script before flashing their ROM is flat out trolling. I can also bet you that on the T-Mo side just as it was for GB that after source for ICS is released, all the wannabe dev's will be begging TDJ to use his kernel just as they did before. You didn't say it outright but you inferred that he is not a real dev adn doesn't know what he is doing.

Cwm for us doesn't fix perms properly lol its 989's sk8's does if I remember correctly but its not an Ics or gb issue its what is the recovery built for as far as wiping goes super wipes are nice for making it a one step process but not entirely necessary and a single wipe should suffice yes I've never seen proof of hanging data but for many it makes them feel better twrp I don't think is the issue of the bricks but either user error or Ics kernel bug I'm leaning towards the initial

I for one was using TWRP and never had a problem with it on my T989. I was glad that you guys got it right with the wipes and fixing perms working as intended. I kept telling TDJ to try it out. As I stated before that superwipe and cache wipe scripts exist for a reason and maybe I took what you guys said the wrong way but it seemed you were attacking his work. he is just trying to make everything as user friendly as possible.

The reason why I even came over here on this board today was that I am switching carriers from T-Mo to AT&T and my Skyrocket will be sitting on my doorstep when i get home from work today. Kind of wish I had waited a lil while longer since it has all but been confirmed that the US SGS3 will have 2 gb RAM. may have to pay the extra 10 bucks in a month to add a line just to get it.

I was never attacking his work, or his super wipe script in particular. I'm sorry if you inferred that. Many of the super wipe/one click things in the past have caused more problems than just doing things by hand. That's all.

If you're on the TeamWin site, they pulled the download. Let me see about getting it back up.

It's been a long time and still no download links available...Can someone please post a mirror with a flashable zip? It's been said the recovery itself is safe, it's ICS leaks that are causing the problem. I want to install it on a friend's phone with GB, not ICS so it should be safe....
