Default [Q] Slow mobile data / patchy connections

Sorry if this has been done to death but I did have a search and couldnt find anything specific.

Basically I have had my One X for a few weeks and its all kinds of awesome, and before I bought it through Vodafone I checked signals at work through the web and it should be in the best area, but the data connection is really slow and I struggle to get a voice signal. At home is fine, but out and about is still alittle patchy.

I called Vodafone but they are as useful as a chocolate tea pot, so I thought I would come to people that know what they are talking about.

Im running LeeDroid 6.4, which I hoped would help, but not much.

Is there anything I can do / test to make it better?

Thanks

The only issue I have is that it sometimes takes my phone a while to connect back to the network after going through a 'dead spot'
but internet speeds aren't an issue for me. I am with Three UK
