Went out and picked up a TM9177 from TM today, with much less hassle than I anticipated. So that factor has now been removed from the equation.

Quick question... I dont have a G2 anymore, but I got the Sensation. After installing your zip on the sensation - everything works great! Everything, but MMS.

Does MMS work for you guys?

Thanks for the great work!

Just installed 1.2 over AOKP b37, smurfed out, no v6, EliteMod ICS Kernel. App constantly force closes and won't open. Prompts show up, about registering an emergency address or whatever, but nothing else. Does it just work by turning WiFi on?

*EDIT:

Ok, yeah, got the notification that it was ready and then it worked.

Thank you!

Was having the hardest damn time getting this to work.

Every time I kept flashing the .zip It'd keep freezing and rebooting on me.

I ended up reading through the thread and found I had the older SIM and just got back from Tmobile with the new TM9177 ... Just ask them to switch it for you saying you're having WiFi and Signal problems. They gave me no hassle.

Still was having problem after getting this.

Ended up flashing the matching .rils and did a EFS whip and YEAAAAAAAA!!! I now have WiFi on and working!

Thank you Op!

I'm glad you got it worked out. FYI, If you keep the lib-ril updater and the wifi calling add-on on your sd card and flash them at the same time as you flash an update to your rom, then you don't need to flash the efs wipe. BUT, if you boot up first with the stock rils built into your rom, and then flash the updater and wifi calling later, you need to wipe the efs partitions again.

MMS isn't working yet with wifi calling active. I'm working on it, but I believe it's a kernel issue.

Thats what i think too. I have a logcat if that might help you.. Dont forget that im on sensation, not g2. Here is the link http://varnait.com/logcat.txt

I think its kernel too, cause as you can see on the logcat - it has errors when switching from wificalling to normal network automatically. And there is some network values missing as far as i can see...

Sent from my Sensation 4G, that is finally running CM9, using Tapatalk.

Just wanted to confirm that switching to the 9177 SIM indeed appears to have stopped the SIM FULL errors when using Wi-Fi calling. Thanks again for the help on this.

Default Update to Version 2.0

I have updated the OP with links to Version 2.0. This version no longer requires that you flash the lib-ril and gps .so updater first. All patches, files and tweaks have been incorporated into one flashable installer.

Note: .19 radio still required

The link to version 2 appears broken; Dropbox says no file found.

Also, before you posted this version, I successfully installed the .19 radio, but whenever I try to install the drivers, I am unable to connect to the data network (T-Mobile USA). I'm running CM9 Beta 10. I've tried it several times, including wiping cache and Dalvik cache before flashing the drivers, and then the EFS wipe. I also tried it on MexDroid Fried Ice Cream 3. When the G2 starts up it connects:

Network: T-Mobile
Signal Strength (roughly): -898 dBm
Mobile network type: UMTS:3
Service state: Disconnected.

Model: HTC VIsion (T-Mobile G2)
Android 4.0.4
Baseband: 12.62.60.27U_26.13.04.19_M
Kernel: 2.6.35.14-jerl92-andromadus03-tiamat-ics-bfs

***Update***
The latest update works for me, installed the updated radio and the Wifi Calling zip that includes the radio drivers. Thanks, you rock!
