sorry guys I don't think I could make camera work for Tattoo

I have tried to implement both rapmv78's and Evervolv implementation of cameraHAL.
As mentioned previously it fails to load cameralib.
I have tried to contact rapmv78 and KalimochAz (arco68's PM is not available),
both of them suggested i should implement GB libcamera functions of Tattoo in to cameraHAL.
I am no expert on these drivers, so i have contacted arif-ali if he could look at the camera source.
If any one out there who could do this please do for us.

Rough guess about reason for not working camera is that we don't have HTC camera drivers but we have user developed camera drivers
And the camera implementation in ICS for HTC devices is depending on default libcamera. (i may be wrong)

Sorry to hear that. Hopefully someone will make it. I know that HTC didnt make drivers for GB or FroYo, and yet we have camera. I think that 4.0 on our Tattoo is a bust, the system partition is not big enough, processor is very very low on power. Let`s just abandon this and focus on the GB,FroYo, maybe even eclair, i didn`t saw any eclair ROMs here. I would love to see GBSense working completely or ClickFroyo to have FM... We can let this be a side project for future

I don't think we should give up so easily...I mean look at the progress rallapag has made...I still remember the first cm9 build...even the touch screen didn't work...from there he has made a almost stable build...If rallapag keeps this as primary..I'm sure we'll have a fully functional build just like kalim gave us GB

My friend has Galaxy S Plus and they have made their camera work.
They've made flashable zip, then installed some camera apk from the play store.
After that, I think they fixed permissions and it worked.
We should start the new thread called "Ics camera development" like they did and there we should collect all the informations and help you to make it work.

I know those devices aren't same and that they are HTC and Samsung but it's worth of trying.

Arif-ali and Arco are the experts when it comes to cameras. Hopefully someone will look into it. BTW there are a lot of devices that have camera in ICS
HTC Nexus One, Galaxy S plus, Xperia mini&pro,mytouch 4G,Xperia play,Desire S....

Regarding the comments about continuing CM9 or not:-
I would be more willing to go in the direction of CM9 than trying to fix sense ROM
Reasons being -
It is always less hassle to work with open source
I am being not a developer and with amount of info and support out there you are more likely to get a solution for the issues.

And also I am in no shape to get tricky HTC sense to break and understand.
Even the best developers had trouble to crack it and make it work.
But then i wouldn't want to raise hopes that i would be able to fix the current issues with ROM.
we just have to see how things go

lockscreen weather is one main addition (screenshots in 3rd post)

Downloading the new build now, I guess it`s time for me to get back on CM9

Tested the new build. It's way slower than the one from 18th may.
Weather on lock screen looks nice but there is the problem when you are turning your screen on. Actually it is loading again so when you turn on your screen, it first shows the normal lock screen and then pulls that circle down to show weather.

Didnt face that problem!!!!For me the weather doesnt display when i have calender notification and shortcuts on the lockscreen...
