some superuser issues as well but im not sure why rom manager wont let me fix permissions and then TB wouldnt rind root.

Go into your /system/etc folder and removed bash.rc and then go into the /init.d and remove bash00 then reboot. that will fix the root issue.

I have the same kernel showing up (Platypus Egg), I was on glorious OD b4 this rom. Probably didn't get the new kernel with 2.0 or 2.1 .. waiting on 2.2.2 to reload everything again.
