Default The GSM fix did not fix my SMS...

I know it's been talked about a lot lately but the GSM SMS fix is giving me more problems than I anticipated.

Here's the low down:

Being a UK resident, I've suffered without SMS up until now. As you can imagine, when Joelz's fix came about, I was stoked!
So I jump ROMs, back onto Sense 4.0 to see if it would work...no luck. I figured that the fix might not have been included in the ROM that I flashed, so I opted to find the fix.zip and flash it myself...still no luck.

The carrier that I use is H3G, or more commonly known as "Three". They operate solely on a UMTS 2100mhz (WCDMA) frequency band. This is great as the Rezound has a compatible radio, enabling me to achieve 3G/HSPA data speeds on foreign device. This is (what I believe to be) the problem facing sending SMS. My carrier doesn't send SMS via GSM (I don't think)...

So, here's my question: does anyone know what I can do to remedy this? I know it's a pain in the @$$ but any pointers/help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your time,

Jim

Sending an sms through 3g/umts is a go with the patch. I'd try selecting 3g only from network settings and then try to send an sms.

Nope, I'm on Newt's RLS 1 which already has the fix in it I believe. I just tried flashing the fix again and it didn't do anything

If you're on Rezrom or pkmn you can do so as per usual from the network settings otherwise, try the hidden phone menu and choose WCDMA only.

Tried that my friend. Still didn't work. I am under the impression that I need to wipe before I flash the zip.
If this is true, dalvik cache and cache?
