What exactly are your suggestions? This post looks so wrong to me.

Thanks for your reply nAa! It really means a lot to me!

Requests by nightwing369
1. Lite Version of [ROM] MiniCM9-3.0.2 [27/5/12]ICS 4.0.4/CM9 port for the Χ10 mini pro , like the one made by meer_mortal , like in this rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1201116
2. De-odexed, GPU-accelerated, Zip-aligned etc (basically whatever's necessary to free up more virtual RAM memory, and therefore speed up the rom)
High-contrast energy saving theme by draco_ag , DrainFix (battery should last longer now, no drain during standby), Dual-touch , SD card Speed Fix, and also tiwlan.ini modified to support Draft-N WiFi networks , like in this rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1206625
3. And not sure if it's there already or not, but WiFi tethering please (use the phone as WiFi hotspot AP)
Future hopes:
Unlock bootloader, use ICS/JB rom; &/OR get Sony Xperia™ Z OR
Sony Xperia™ V

now: Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 mini pro - Android: MiniCM7 Pro - V21 by paul-xxx
previous custom rom: 2.1.1.Clean.0.0 by pfonck
before: Sony Ericsson W580i - Proprietary OS Java Platform 7
history: Sony Ericsson K300i - Proprietary OS Java Platform 3; Nokia 3510i - Series 30/40 software platform
vintage: BT Trium - ?

I'll try to answer inline:

Link points nowhere. By 'lite version' do you mean removing some apps other users might need? If so what's keeping you from removing them? CM ships with a full list of apps that are useful for most of the users. I intent to keep it this way unless proven that something must be removed.
Also keep in might that freeing up apps from the /system partition has nil effect, unless of course these are apps that keep memory, e.g. DSP Manager.

De-odexed: There is not enough /system partition space for an odexed ROM. This is true for so many devices and thus CM9 ships odexed by default.
GPU-accelerated? Really? What is that supposed to be? Is there some super duper optimization flag I forgot?
Zip-aligned: all apps are already zip-aligned and optimized for use. This is already done during the build process by the awesome CM build system
High-contrast energy saving theme by draco_ag: You can pick up any theme you like that supports CM9. Theme manager is already implemented. My opinion is that the MiniCM9 theme is already better that what I've already seen for mdpi/ldpi and practically you can't expect from a theme to save you some battery. I mean... come on, it will save you like 1-2% of a full power cycle? So?
DrainFix: Say what? Any links? I've seen lots and lots of 'drain fixes' on these forums most of which are placebos.
Dual-touch: Isn't this working already? If there is a specific issue with Cypress (mimmi), sorry but I can't fix it since I don't have this device.
SD card Speed Fix: The only 'fix' I've seen for this is tuning the sdcard cache size which is good... until it makes your music player go crazy with hiccups.
tiwlan.ini modified to support Draft-N: Even though the link is not working this could potentially be useful for some. Only if it's verified that doesn't break anything or increase the battery consumption.

Is this for real? You are requesting a feature that is already implemented since GB but you don't want to search around and find where this is in the Settings menu?

Come on people.
You got any REAL fixes that have proven to make the device work better? Share them!
You got any PATCHES that may make the code batter? Share them twice!

Turns out my screen tearing when I pull open the keyboard wasn't caused by the rom or kernel, it must be physical.

I flashed back to stock and it still occurs, oddly not as often. But I've also found that the speaker for phone functions no longer works either (I usually use a headset) so something must be corroded or breaking.

I just hope it lasts a month or so till my contract is up. Just bad timing I guess that it started when I flashed to this rom. Which is brilliant thankyou.

Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini Pro (u20i) with MiniCM10 (Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2) running on nAa-jb Kernel

here is a simple protocol to find if some conditions can or not increase battery life without messing up everything else

atm, we will see for gsm standby that seems to extremely eats battery when phone is idle

____________________________________________
we have 3 condtions to test :

in the build.prop you'll find the following :
Code:
ro.telephony.ril.v3=icccardstatus,skipbrokendatacall,signalstrength,datacall

here are the 3 conditions :
1/ keeping as it is:
Code:
ro.telephony.ril.v3=icccardstatus,skipbrokendatacall,signalstrength,datacall
2/ add "qcomuiccstack"
Code:
ro.telephony.ril.v3=icccardstatus,skipbrokendatacall,signalstrength,datacall,qcomuiccstack
3/ delete "signalstrngh" & add "qcomuiccstack"
Code:
ro.telephony.ril.v3=icccardstatus,skipbrokendatacall,datacall,qcomuiccstack
here is the protocol :
for each :
  • fully charge,
  • use by the same way the phone for each (same phone call length, same web browsing length, same idle time while sleeping at the same place ...)
  • try 3g,2g,gsm,wifi,bluetooth,FMradio and all regarding connectivity for each
  • keep idle for at least 8hrs (and about the same time for each condition)
  • take a screen shot for each when about 10 battery % are left
  • on each screen shot, place numbers and comment the way you used the phone at each graph inflection or state (idle, wifi, 3g using, phone call ... )

here is the way the 3 screen shots should look like :
*

on this screen the phone never really went idle properly and i used airplane mod, this is not how you should proceed, this is just an example of the way i would like to see the numbers

you should proceed in similar way for each 3 condition so that the results can be comparable and the conclusion accurate!

the more people will do the test properly, and the more precisely they will do, the more accurate will be the results.

thanks for helping us !

have a nice day
m@
Hey mat, I did your test. But it only got up to 5hrs of system idle but it had a good result.

I did the 2nd condition, I retain
Code:
ro.telephony.ril.v3=icccardstatus,skipbrokendatacall,signalstrength,datacall
but only added "qcomuiccstack" and removed "icccardstatus" (as mentioned by drfr on his post regarding MiniCM7 build.prop http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...&postcount=679) so I left it like this
Code:
ro.telephony.ril.v3=skipbrokendatacall,signalstrength,datacall,qcomuiccstack
Before:

After:

2% drop on battery in a span of 5hrs while the system is idle. (while I'm sleeping ) I did use the phone first, did browse the web and search for some mdpi themes (which I did found some), I use wifi if you can see at the screenshot etc. But the main point here is that, the big difference regarding battery drop. Before, I got 12 - 15% battery drop the other day while the phone is idle.

But I'm curious about what you've said,
Quote:
ro.telephony.ril.v3=icccardstatus,skipbrokendatacall,signalstrength,datacall

you can't delete the bold word, this is needed for the SIM to work
In my case, the sim is working fine. :|

I hope this will help.

Tried as above, and confirming that even deleting iccardstatus, SIM card still works fine even after a reboot...

Seems that the battery drain is still quite fast.. Gonna try with deleting signalstrenghth as well... Gonna post the result ASAP...
