My main qualm with cm9 is that I randomly seem to experience a flash of blue that fills the screen periodically (and it's not overscroll). That, and no AT&T visual voicemail. But if it's that much better than lg's ics release, I may use it anyway.
Supposedly the screen flickering problem was fixed recently in CM9. Try upgrading to the latest nightly build.

AT&T Visual Voicemail can be downloaded from the market. It's called "AT&T Voicemail Viewer". Have you tried this in CM9?

i know you didn't ask me but i'm going to chime in any way.

you are like me with the priority on visual so a few things about that-

the leaked ics handles the display slightly better, the graphics pop a teency bit more but you will notice. BUT the cm9 interface is visually more pleasing than the ics version- a lot better- icons, everything, the system adjustment screens, etc. all much much better.

the ATT logo is in the notification bar on the ICS version and is a huge eyesore.

i too very much like att visual voicemail and no att visual voice apps seem to want to work for me on cm9. so as far as i know, you will not get this.

and i also get the occasional blue flash with cm9

oh yah, the lock screen

big diff here bw the 2 and i think the att/ics version wins here, it looks terrific.

Wow, thank you very much for that thorough comparison! MUCH appreciated! If you think the leaked ICS handles the screen better, I think I'll at least give it a whirl and compare it to CM9. Guess I will be unbricking my phone after all =P

Oh, and I came across this thread on how to get AT&T visual voicemail to work on CM9. Granted, it's for a galaxy Note with CM9, but the process might provide some insight into how to get it to work for us, if anyone would like to give it a shot =)

you got it.

will check that thread, trhanks

here are some grabs from the ICS lock screen and the hideous notification drop down, why they felt the need to put an edit button up there and make it huge is beyond me.

That's not true at all. Some people have been able to install it fine without having installed the original ICS leak.

Like me, for example. I have, however, unbricked my phone.
