DONATE TO ME
So after being without s-off/root for a while I was finally able to achieve it. I'm not allowed to post outside links yet but the newest is on rootzwiki->HTC->Incredible 2/S->(HOW-TO) ROOT DINC2 ON 6.01.605.05 FIRMWARE

This worked successfully to get me downgraded to allow rev's s-off and root. I'm now on MIUI w/CWM.

It was a little flaky with a couple of random restarts on the stock 605.3 software but it cleared right up after flashing MIUI.

I also acheived s-off with the thread aaronc222 mentions. I also was getting restarts a few seconds after the lockscreen would appear, but flashing a new ROM fixed it.

That was my issue exactly. Reboots on sense roms, has anyone that downgraded from 6.xx and didn't go to an AOSP ROM been issue free?

I'm fully functional with Andy Bonestock.

After Revolutionary, I got the reboots at the lockscreen. Flashed Bonestock and was good. Flashed .1111 radio and got the reboots at the lockscreen again, so wiped data and put on Bonestock again and now am fully functional with Bonestock and radio .1111.

That's good news. I thought I was in the clear too, but when I power cycled, the reboots at the lock screen always resumed no matter what I tried unfortunately.

Nope, you're right... I had to reboot today (well, didn't HAVE to but I did anyway) and got stuck on the reboots. It's odd because after installing Bonestock, I had to restart a couple of times to apply superuser and a couple other things and everything was fine, so don't know why it wasn't giving me reboot problems then. I'm reflashing it now and I guess I'll just hope and pray I never have to restart until we get it straightened out...

Yup, or flash an AOSP rom...

Another work around I discovered is to put your phone is Airplane Mode prior to rebooting. For whatever reason, the reboot only occurs when the phone boots up with the cell radio enabled. Its as if with the new 6.xx software, there is some conflict with RIL and Sense even after factory resets. I'm nit nearly smart enough to understand the problem.

That's a workaround I can live with for now. But if the phone were to restart by itself for some reason without being in airplane mode, do we have a way to get past the reboot problem?

I got Verizon to replace my phone again and haven't attempted to downgrade on this new one (and am holding off until a 6.xx RUU is available). But from the few days I did have to play with the phone, once you get stuck in this loop of reboots, the only way to break the cycle is to do a factory reset in recovery, but this obviously loses all data...
