If we're talking about forming a company that builds custom phones, count me in as an investor.

Perhaps the case hardware can be made via 3D printer? It may not be that hard. There was someone over in the Transformer Prime forums that was designing and building custom slip cases for the tablet. Maybe we just need someone to do that technical work.

Yea I didnt think of that you could probably map out the finished motherboard and components and screw locations and feed that into a 3d printer and boom.

Ok Yea firmware would be a problem. We'd need an advanced dev that could write the firmware from scratch I imagine. Because recoding existing software to greet components it wasn't designed to would be epic failure.

Id like to see a quad core , nvidia somethin or other , 4.3 LED 64gb storage 1gb ram and the evo shift 4g keyboard ,articulating to 45 degrees above the keyboard , hdmi out 16mp cam , 1080p now that would be something

The only dev I know of who could write the firmware from scratch is Rebellos. Why not email Geeksphone and see if they're willing to do this?

Yeah, well I hope for a 4-4.3 inch quadcore nexus slider with more than 1gb ram (give us 1.5gb or moar!). A 5 row keyboard is a need with special keys... Let's see what Google says on the I/O meeting...
Please Google give us a QWERTZ flagship we could be proud of and that has a bright future!

EDIT: In case that won´t happen, lets start a company ^^

That's a great idea. First we'd need a poll or petition who'd buy such a phone and which developers/ hardware dudes would be on it to help. Then send Geeksphone a mail with the link to prove people actually such a thing, would buy it and developers would support it.

Let's do this guys

The G3 rumor mill is hitting the blogosphere pretty heavy (or was late last week). It's odd how everyone's thinking that it could be a slider QWERTY even though HTC made their "no more QWERTYs" announcement. That would be a dream though!

Have you guys seen the patent that HTC filed?

http://www.patentbolt.com/2012/07/ht...ne-design.html

It looks like they are hopefully still trying to keep some of the qwerty market. This isn't necessarily tied to the G3 rumor, but I am hoping...
