Default [Q] partha

Feb end, during my Jakarta visit purchased a Chinese tablet cum phone (Advan) running on Android 2.2.2.
Whenever I turn on WiFi I get the message error.
Can someone help to solve this ?

What does the error message say specifically (or is it just "Error")? To rule out a hardware problem, I'd recommend flashing back to factory settings if you can't get it resolved an easier way.

When I click on wifi..it says turning on and after a few seconds it simply says "Error". I tried the factory reset, still the problem persists.

Looks like I am ripped off. However, the wifi was working fine initially, I downloaded some apps. As of now, once a while it shows my wifi setting however when log into wifi I get the error. Today the bluetooth is working. When I checked locally, they told I need to change a IC inside, which I am scared to touch. Any clue/help on how to reinstall android 2.2.2 ? Let me try it also.

If they said you need to change the IC inside, then it sounds like you got a partially ripped off, as they sold you a shoddily assembled tablet or else used shoddy equipment (ICs, etc) on the board.

Trying to reinstall the OS may put you in even deeper water unless you can contact the manufacturer and get it directly from them.
