Lightbulb Purchasing DVP.

Despite all these bugs I am constantly reading about, this phone is simply too attractive.

To my understanding, dell will still send me a new handset if I find any issues with it before the 30 day mark. Can everyone tell me what to look out for?
EDIT: Probably not actually, now that they are no longer manufactured.

I've also read dell will give me an unlock code for free if I email them? Can anyone confirm this? If so I can buy the cheaper AT&T model and just unlock it. (even though im using straight talk, which AT&T locked phones are compatible).

Theres still no Root/Jailbreak for this phone, right? I feel like if we had dedicated developers we'd get it, but im going to do my best contributing what I can to get this moving, or maybe just ask dell for an unlocked bootloader, so developers have openness to fix these problems.

Its a shame such a gorgeous phone has so many issues, but I really would like to have this phone work for me. So I hope this section doesnt die soon after I get my phone.

I just love my DVP.
If we could "Root/Jailbreak" this phone there's no way I would upgrade so soon...
It's one of the best looking phones I've ever had (I do my miss my TP2 ).
I wish I had enough knowledge to help developers.

Theres very few devs for this phone.
Do you mind if I ask you a few things? Like any issues you have with the phone?

I bought my DVP maybe two months ago and I can tell most bugs are fixed. I think is a really solid phone and windows 7 is a really stable OS compared to my GSII.

Pros:
Keyword
beautiful looking
LED screen
Windows phone 7.5 is stable

Cons:
Camera sucks under low light
slow web rendering compared to my GSII
Phone can't be use as a mobile hotspot

The bugs have been solved.
The worst thing this phone has is it's camera, in low light conditions the photos are crap.
Also I'm starting to notice some dust under the screen, there's a thread about that...
These are the only things that annoy me.

Snazzy, Thanks guys.
Hopefully we can get WindowBreak or some kind of unlock working. Since dell is no longer manufacturing them.

I took my phone apart and clean the dust and put small pieces of tape around the screen so it wont be easy for the dust to get in so far it worked like a charm.

Thanks for the tip, but for now i'm still gonna wait.
The amount of dust isn't that much (it still annoys me!), maybe three months from now i'll do it.
