you can most likely be able to downgrade with Goldcard method.

I managed to downgrade to 4.xx then to 2.20 which is perfect.

I'm currently trying to install RSPL so i can then install a custom rom, but the RSPL program is giving me this error..

Code:
[Error Description]:

Invalid ModelID. This means that your phone not supported.
This installer supports only limited number of the phones.
SPARK, MOZART, MONDRIAN, GOLD, SCHUBERT.
If you have phone from this list, but still have this error, please contact with DFT team.

[Info]: USBWorkRSPL.cpp (235)

[Error Description]:

ModelID is 'PD291200'. Please report this info to DFT.

[Info]: USBWorkRSPL.cpp (234)
I found this quite strange as in their post it mentions the model listed there as supported..

Quite clueless, any help would be appreciated..
I was having the same issue, and it turned out to be a very simple solution; in fact, I am quite emberassed that I struggled so much, lol.

On the page for the HSPL/RSPL instructions & download, I kept scrolling down to the attached files portion and downloading the top one (Rev 2) thinking it was Rev 3. Revision 3 is up earlier in the thread, but for simplicity sake, here is the direct link:

http://htcfanboys.com/download/cotul...view&file=2942

So hopefully your solution is as simple as mine, and good luck!

Did you do the mango update on your devise or was it already installed when you got it?
I didn't personally install Mango on the phone, so I don't have the backup (I believe that was required for one method of downgrading the bootloader).

I bought everything I needed for GoldCard and I'm stuck on the same step that many others have been stuck at - "usb host mode".

I attached pics --- it's obviously the card reader / flash drive, unless the Y-Cable or USB gender changer is broken.

Pretty funny because it looks like the past few of us who are having the same problem seem to be using the exact same brand cable/adapter/card reader.

It's going to be pretty annoying trying to find a usb thumb drive that actually works

Yeah I was gonna suggest to restore your hd7 back through Zune, then re update to mango and then stop the update before the last update which is the HTC update, that one raises your spl to 5.xxx or higher, but if you already had mango installed that wont work for you!
More than likely I'd say it was your flash drive/card reader, it seems to be somewhat of an issue but is usually solved by using a different brand and or gig flash drive/card reader. Keep us updated on what the problem turns out to be!

Thank you for the TUT, it's very helpful!
But I think that for me is not possible, I cant' start the procedure without some Mobile Device Center for my PC.
I tried to install Active Sync and Windows Mobile Device Center, but can't running on my Windows 7.
It's possible to doing this with Zune? Problably not, I don't think so..
How I can synchronize my Windows Phone 7.5 Mango without some Mobile Device Center?
Or where I can find some functionally?
Anyway my Bootloader is the "5.xx"
I always tried to find some other device manager, but I never find it on Web.
Can help me?

See you later
