compass apps not working

vodafone branded optimus 7, updated to 8107.

Compass application absolutely don't work. This is weird because in MFG tests, the compass works perfectly.

Any clues?

I have a Vodafone Germany branded but unlocked LG E900. My compass works BUT it has to be recalibrated almost every time I need to use, no matter which application is getting access to it.

Hello, I believe this is definitely a LG driver issue. I've noticed too that in MFG the compass works pretty good but in real life applications get wrong values and they are unusable. It's a pity because all the sweet augmented reality apps don't works or works very bad (even the LG one!!!)
We should do something against LG! It's stupid to sell a phone claiming it has a compass that works correctly but is unusable due to broken manufacturer drivers!

Any progress? I have noticed that the problem exists when the phone is not parallel with the ground.

I guess we will have to wait until tango update, maybe they will release a driver update with it.
