I see this a lot on the doubleshot threads s-on rooted users not aware they have to fastboot flash the boot.img. Now its been a while since I've seen any rooting tuts on the shift and I'm not sure if you can s-on root it but its just sounds like the modules and boot.img are not matching up so that's why it sounds like an s-on rooted phone

Update: Yep, you confirmed it! I'm a total moron! I flashed the boot.img from the ROM first, cleared all cache, and the WiFi now works. I appreciate your time. I completely forgot that my root was an S-ON root.

That mod would have no difference in speed and if you are noticing a difference that is placebo. All that mod does is that it shows the correct images(.pngs) when on 1x instead of the 3g icons. I don't know when I can look at your file as I am really busy, but hopefully someone else might be able to take a look for you.

Also on a side note, I no longer am using the shift I got the evo lte, I have a few little things I plan on releasing for an update to newSENSE then I will be done on the shift. I can always answer questions but most likely won't be doing much more work for the shift.

Sorry to see you go, but thanks for all the great stuff you've put out for the Shift. UKE and newSENSE are two of my favorite ROMs for the Shift!

No there is not. But you could just leave the screen you don't want blank.

Hello

I used Recovery to wipe data/system, wipe cache partition, and the dalvik cache was wiped. then i installed .zip from sdcard. found the file since i partitioned my sd and it was the only file on there so i hit yes to install. came up as installing NEW SENSE and the bar loaded and said complete. so i did a system reboot. Now its at the whiteHTC screen. and has been on that screen for about 10 minutes.

Should i reboot? reinstall? what should i do?

Anyone have any ideas to help me?

As Dread said, what Recovery are you using. Also, how many times did you wipe each of these? What do you mean by " found the file since i partitioned my sd and it was the only file on there " ? Did you unintentionally wipe your SD Card? Or do you mean you Partitioned your SD Card for an SD Ext, then tried to flash the Rom ?
