Search Google for OW3LQG8PZB and then go to the homensdoamanha.com link (about the 3rd one down). Use Google Chrome to translate the page from Portuguese, or Google Translate if you don't have Chrome installed.

About 1/2 way down the comments there are some more links to possibly OW3LQG8PZB or equivalent files.

I've not used/downloaded the file myself as I just flashed my Europa with an older firmware to get it out of the boot loop, but you may not be prepared to try that.

The first link on the page for the ROM file (in Portuguese it says "Firmware: Clique aqui!") takes you to an advert page. Look in the top right corner and it will say "skip ad", and will then take you to the file on Rapidshare.

Sorry about the cryptic remarks about the file/link locations, but the forum is overly user-unfriendly to new registrants. There's quite a lot of good info on here, but it doesn't inspire me to contribute much... I wonder how many others have been put off too?!

Hope it helps you.

Andy.

Go to download mode by pressing volume down+center button+power and plug it in to the pc....
( Btw how will u reboot your phone using odin !!? )

Default Same problem (almost!!)

A while ago something went wrong when flashing my phone to cyanogen mod 9. So when I booted up my phone it got stuck on the GT-i5500 logo. Now (after what seems ages of re-flashing and one click unbrick) it displays Phone---(!)----PC.
Is that good or bad?

Odin can't flash my phone either, it just gets stuck on setting up a connection or it just comes up with fail. One click unbrick doesn't work either.

HELP!!

It's a common situation. Just remove battery, restart winz if you already tried to flash once into this session, start Odin, put battery into the phone and connect it to the PC.
Usually for me it always worked this way.. the ! means that a flash process is been interruptes manually or maybe for unknown reasons (file corrupted? )

Did you install the right hotfix for your version? Every release has different hotfix!, and you have to install ONLY the last one available for your version.. so if psyke released hotfix-XXXXXXX_01 and hotfix-XXXXXX_02 you must install only the 02 ones..

DONATE TO ME
Question Same problem, the screen blinks on boot

Hi,
I have a problem similar (or the same) as the one in the first post.
I have a Samsung Galaxy 5/Corby, I5500, the operator is TIM (Italy). I've rooted it, then installed MAD Manager, installed ClockWorkMOD and flashed the last version of CyanogenMod. It worked quite good, the only thing that didn't work was wireless tethering. However, it was very slow, because of the small RAM. So I decided to shrink the main SD partition and add a little SWAP, then enable the apposite option in the Advanced tab in Settings. But, after a reboot, it din't swapon the partition. So I enabled ADB and (throught Linux) opened a root shell and ran "swapon /dev/block/xxxxxx#p#". It worked. But I didn't want to open an adb shell or a terminal after every reboot to enable swap. I googled a bit, then read somewhere that a /system/etc/init.d script might have done the trick. So I made a little script with my PC:
Code:
#!/system/bin/sh
swapon /dev/block/mmcblk0p2 || echo "Unable to enable swap, please insert the SD card."
sysctl -w vm.swappiness=60;
then pushed it into /system/etc/init.d/83swapon
Quote:
The filesystem is read-only
I remounted /system in rw, and tried again.
Quote:
No space left on device.
I removed Apollo, a media player included with the rom I downloaded, and tried again, getting again "no space...".
After a bit of hacking I decided to put the script into /data, then make it executable and make a symlink in init.d that points to it.
I didn't manage to remounte read-only /system, so I didn't remount it at all.
I rebooted the phone to check that it was working, but the screen started blinking. The only thing I was able to do was removing the battery then starting it in download mode by pressing Volume down, Center and Power.
I've made a video: youtu.be/SM7dXfCa4dI

I tried to flash the stock Samsung ROM using ODIN, but ODIN makes it reboot and blink again. I don't know what to do, the link in the fourth answer doesn't work... can someone reupload that file or suggest me a better solution?

Thanks
