I'm impressed wig the vivids battery life...13 hours at 12% right now with 3 hours and 40 minutes of screen on time...and the vivid has a smaller battery...1620mAH

So I'm kinda confused how a dual core with a smaller battery is getting better battery life then my infuse ever did...is ics that good of a power saver??? Or sis the superAMOLED screen that much of a battery drainer?

Although he battery stats doesn't list specific apps...but I was listening to a lot of music, watched some YouTube, and was on the browser for a while...and XDA a little....

Still missing that amoled screen though , still trying to figure out this sense stuff...and the vivid dev section looks small when compared to the infuses...may have to help change that :P

And I have yet to try LTE...don't have a compatible sim and I'm afraid to go to att and ask for one cause my contract for the infuse was not up, and I don't know if my plan is compatible with LTE...don't wanna get stuck with a more expensive bill...

And that's running off Gingerbread as you mentioned earlier? Not bad. That 80% screen use is intimidating. That was with a dim screen?

Could you post a pic of your home screen and settings menu? Wanna see how it looks. I'm somewhat curious about HTC in general, and I'd value the insight from an XDA member over a Google search any day.

This was running completely stock ics on vivid compared to everything I ever had on my infuse....

Brightness was at auto all day, except for like 10-20 minutes were it was at full...and the 80% ...that's with it being on for almost 4 hours!!! I'll upload some screenshots soon...probably in a zip format as there is a bunch to upload lol...

Also remember for the screentime, since it doesnt list any individual apps, there is less to split up on whats using the battery...the infuse always had like 8+ things(could be more, could be less...dont have an infuse to check)...this only display 4 items...so 8 individual services using the battery will display a smaller percentage when compared to 4 individual services...

any ways heres the screenshots...

or see attached zip...

Looks colorful enough, refreshing to see another UI. Any lag whatsoever with that 1.5?

Not sure what you mean by 1.5...only thing I can think of is the kernel...but HTC underclocked it to 1.2GHz...so its not running the full 1.5 its made to run...

But no lag at all...really smooth...smoother than the infuse was and there's some nice screen animations...

Yeah I read that the CPU was made to run at 1.5, but HTC underclocked it to 1.2 to save battery life...which apparently is a common thing for HTC to do...that said I can technacly overclock the CPU to 1.5 safely without putting to much strain on it...but 1.2 is plenty fast so I don't see me ocing any time soon

So basically its a 1.5GHz CPU that was underclocked to 1.2GHz by HTC to save battery life....
