Confirming to many apps. Keeping Megatron Root from Working.
I upgraded my LG Thrill to Gingerbread 2.3.5, that went pretty well, and it worked perfectly.
My Problem came when I tried to Root the phone once again. I tried Superoneclick, it failed. Gingerbreak "Failed". Z4 "Failed".
Everything I found while searching the web pointed me to Megatron Root. A number of people had good luck and it worked perfectly. Then there were people like me who tried over and over to get the process to work, it continued to Fail as well.
Back to Google searching for more information, I found that many other people were also having the same issue. The Solution Return to Phone to Factory Preset, remove the fmradio, and finally that I had too many apps loaded on to my phone.
I believe that one of the apps loaded on my phone had a hand in blocking the Rooting process. Without knowing which one and with some frustration, I started uninstalling programs. Radios, Police Scanners, QR Readers, Graphics Programs, Skype, ES File, ES Task monitor, and my backup program. In all I got rid of about 20 programs, several which worked at root level. Which I also read could be the cause of the Megatron root Failing.
Once I removed all of the extra programs, plus programs working as Superuser, I ran Megatron again. Well it worked, this time when I ran the program it went through perfectly. No Errors, it performed just as the program was intended. The verified end result was that my LG Thrill 925P V20P Thrill was rooted once again.
My suggestion is to remove some of the programs that you installed. Networking, Picture editors, Scanning, file managers etc. Anything that might have a hand in controlling a input device, or a output device. I didn't worry about games, I even left on the Basic Root Check program.
Try this process, it worked for me, and I hope it will work for you too.
