Alright I was wrong it works fine. I was just confused because there isn't any indication if it is on or off.

I had that problem once. Did you come from another ROM? I suspected that, since some ROM/kernel combinations give different names to SD_card and External_SD_card, TB can't find your old archives. For that reason, I started using MyBackupPro as an extra solution and saved that archive to their online storage. That way, if TB didn't work, I could still use MyBackupPro. It saved me once, but now that I'm on this ROM, I don't have the problem anymore.
Anyway, search for your backups and see if TB is looking in the right places.....

Exclamation Error Status 7

Hello,

Im having some trouble... not sure what I messed up.
I had 3.9 running and wantet update to 4.0.

As usual I installed the .zip via recovery: Base, essentiall, gapps and then (I think that was/is the problem) I installed the newest NEAK kernel (2.0.6) AOSP edition.

The Phone didnt boot any more into ROM. But still having acces to recovery, I wiped everything! system, data, cache, also emmc (also internal sd) so I lost all my backups, (Titanium oder Nandroid)... I can watch over this...

BUT the main problem is, that I cannot flash the ROM.

... 2 pages of writen stuff like: getprop("ro.build.product") etc.
E:Error in /sdcard/Base_Ssmsung_4.0.zip (Status 7)

Does any one have an idea what it could be?
I had an HTC Hero, a Desire and atm SGS2, and this is so far my only bigger problem Im having.. all others I could solve more or less by myself...

THX Dave

seems like a cwm issue. flash my boot.img via heimdall, then reboot to recovery, flash.

Just checking the threads before I head to bed.....you're having the issue that also occurred in the last fluxi kernel. Easiest thing to do is to flash like krarvind said, or if you don't know how to use heimdall you can flash the I9100_Essentials first, reboot recovery (probably in advanced but not used NEAK before) and then it'll load krarvind's kernel recovery. Then you should be able to flash the ROM and other files as per the instructions. It's only ROM's that you won't be able to flash on your current kernel.

I think im having kind of an semi-brick. I falshed essentials, rebootet to recovery, es mentioned, now in the "new" recovery i could falsh the rom, but when I boot up the phone, the screen just stay black, the touch-buttons blinked short and thats it... I hope it not a problem causing by the "triangle away" app from chain...

il try the solution with hemidall and report.. thx for helping!

no brick, you just need to flash base ( twice if the first goes too fast), then essentials , and slim gapps. reboot.

the way I've followed was flashing CM9 ROM (really we only need the recovery), and then in CM9 recovery I've flashed Slim ROM and works perfectly.
