I have something similar and it is good for its purpose although not using it currently as it makes the phone feel a bit cheap. Using a mixed hard shell and tpu case linked a few pages back which feels better for me.... Bit more expensive mind you though....

I've got that one, and while it fits pretty well, yes it makes the phone feel cheaper and chunkier. It does have a good grip to it though, and the power button works well through the case. The volume control through the case is awful though, mushy and no feel whatsoever. And it is not pretty by any stretch of the imagination.

Need some advice. I'm sure I would find something appropriate in this thread, but I haven't got the time to look it through right now.

I need a solid case that protects my One X (including the camera lens) also from harder hits. It doesn't need to look good. Its functionallity is important and it should be as cheap as possible. I won't use it every day, just at some "special" occasions, where my phone's endangered.

Can someone recommand any case that fits my description?

Thanks.

When you say you want it to protect the lens, do you mean like a screen protector or just a lip?

If a lip will do fine (keeps the phone from sitting in the lens) then for a solid case many would like recommend Rock - you can get it from eBay for around 10. Rock cases are hard, thin and have a unique feel.

I would also recommend this case: http://www.play.com/Mobiles/Mobile/4...-/Product.html
Can't fault it for the price and like the rock it's thin, hard but has a rubbery texture similar to the actual One X back.

If you want an actual screen protector then I think a lot of people either make their own or use a full body skin.

I've been considering the Rock myself, but the downsides so far are putting me off. From what I've read, it's quite tricky to remove once it's on the phone (and I presume there's no chance of getting the phone into the official car dock without removing the case.) Also, from Rickson's pictures (http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...&postcount=702) it looks not to provide any protection for the top and bottom of the phone, just the back and sides. And of course, no pogo pin cutouts, but that's not surprising as again I doubt it'd even fit in the speaker dock with the case on.

Otherwise, though, it's mighty tempting. It's definitely attractive, and the grippiness sounds great.

Incidentally, for a cheaper case that adds some worthwhile protection, I'd go for the S-Line TPU case.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007WGFNHU/

Dirt cheap, pretty easy to put on and very easy to remove, and it protects everything except the LCD (and even that is raised off the table when face-down by the lip around the edge of the case). It even mostly stops my fingers accidentally touching the edge of the screen and registering a touch even by mistake. The only downsides are that it isn't very attractive, and that the button feel for the volume rocker is dreadful with the case on (no feedback / click at all). Power button is fine though, and all the cutouts are in exactly the right place on an international One X.

i would think twice before getting a qubits one. at the bottom of the case it feels very sharp and not smooth like you would get with other cases and once you stick your phone in the case it is very hard to remove. for me i would spend money on getting a decent case and at least i know i am getting quality for my purchase

Looks to be similar styling to the black / magenta gel ones which we've seen previously:

The magenta one is shipping now; has anybody tried one yet?
What a beautiful case with kickstand.
I want it now

Something similar at Carphone Warehouse in the UK.

http://www.carphonewarehouse.com/pho...ONEX-POP-BLACK

Would really like something like this, but nor sure about the cost - 30. This is more than an impulse buy on ebay!

Not convinced I trust the stock levels on their website - according to it they have that official white flip case in stock as well. Even the HTC website is sold out of it.

20 on Amazon CPW are overpriced.

Just ordered the Ballistic case for my One X, hopefully I'll like it.

Already had the Speck Candyshell in red and it's hell trying to get it off. Also gonna order the Orange Cruzerlite TPU Case once I get around to putting more money on my prepaid card
