What I did:
1. I downloaded Bluestacks 0.7.0.722 and installed it.
2. I downloaded initrd-betahack.img, ramdisk.img and system.img
3. I copied the files to: C:\ProgramData\BlueStacks\Android
4. I downloaded BlueRegistryMOD.reg, changed the guids and I doubleclicked on it
5. I started BlueStacks and it stuck at "Loading...". After few minutes Bluestacks closes itself.

What I do wrong ?
(sorry for my english)

Me too. In fact, this root process can not be used in the newest version 0.7.0.722. It wokrs (tested) only with the version 6 (provided in the link).

Root will not be messed with by me until BS is released to consumer as full product (ie - not beta).

Anyone else feel free...

Any updates for root with version BlueStacks-ThinInstaller_0.7.0.722?
Hello,

Any updates for root with version BlueStacks-ThinInstaller_0.7.0.722? It works fine on 6, but 7 does not. 7 seems to be more stable... Also, any idea when it will come out of beta? Thank you!

Noob Question:

This may be the wrong thread to post this in but I have looked and looked and have given up so here goes..

I have installed bluestacks, downloaded an app. This app required "device certification". I now realize that I want to start from scratch and don't know how to do this. I'm stuck playing my "bunged up" account. Is there any way to wipe the app/device certification?

Thanks a lot!

I am stuck at step 4 where I have to do this: adb shell rm /system/xbin/su
The error messages says that there is no file or directory.

I installed android-sdk in: D:\Program Files\Android\android-sdk\platform-tools
whereas Bluestacks is installed in: C:\ProgramData\BlueStacks\Android
I put the required files into this directory... but if I go to this directory via command prompt I cant usw adb commands...

Adb commands must be run from the folder with adb content. Put the su apk in the adb folder then push it.

I had this problem too, i think it is because you have installed the limited version of BS. Use the thin-installer to see if you get this message.
With Windows 8 i was unable to install, windows 7 (Utlimatex64) i have no problems installing BS version 6
