How do I disable data saving (data being disabled when screen off)? I am on-call for work some weeks and am finding that my email client does not update for hours when the screen is off (i.e. does not push).

Hmmm......Not Happy

I received the OTA 905 update to my previously UNROOTED phone. All went well!

I had and ERIS Rooted so I wasn't a total NOOB to this. I decided with using Bionic Safestrap to Root and use this Eclipse 3.0 ROM.

I used the one-step motofail.exe. Worked perfectly.
Install BionicSafestrap v1.07. Worked perfectly
Installed TI with Pro key and backed up all apps. Worked perfectly
Backed up my Unsafe System and WebTop....thank God!
Toggled to Safe System and formatted.
Installed Eclipse 3.0. Worked perfectly
Wiped data/factory reset
Wiped cache partition
Wipe Dalvik as per Safestrap instructions.

Up and running on Eclipse 3.0 No problems

I decided to toggle back an forth from safe to unsafe and back again. Just to try it!
Back to unsafe, All Good
Back to safe....ERROR. tried a second time, error
Back to unsafe phone reset?
Restored unsafe backup - All good
Tried the unsafe to safe evolution a second time, same results?? Phone is restoring back to unsafe Backup as I type...Not Happy!

Where did I go wrong? FYI, I am an Instructor, not bright, but I can follow directions and normally play well with others :)

What do I do now?

Ok same as above but go into Battery Mode. You can control it from there!

It is on Nighttime Saver (the default) which says data sync is 'unrestricted' during daytime. Am I missing something here?

Ya know....the OTA update is receiving both good and bad data reviews. Try powering off. See if the come-back helps!

I wouldn't bother with safestrap. Way more problems that it helps.

Yeah, I am certainly thinking you're right. My phone seems to be working just fine. It's holding on the reboot and from the power off/on. So what now?

I'm thinking...Uninstall Safestrap and install Bionic Recovery Bootstrap and go from there?
