I think, You will be needing the included TW launcher, because the weather widget does not show up in Nova launcher on my device.

I have done it using this way:

Using Root Explorer:

Extract the Zip to folder on your SD card.

1. Copy AccuweatherDaemon.apk, AccuweatherWidget.apk, AccuweatherWidget_MainFixed.apk, SecLauncher2signed.apk
from TWICS-cm9-aokp-slim.1.5.1\XTRAS\system\app
to /system/app

2. Copy touchwiz.xml, vtmanager_library.xml
from TWICS-cm9-aokp-slim.1.5.1\XTRAS\system\etc\permissions
to /system/etc/permissions
(There was already a features.xml in the destination folder on my device, If you don't have it there, copy it also).

3. Copy everything from TWICS-cm9-aokp-slim.1.5.1\XTRAS\system\framework
to /system/framework

4. Copy everything from TWICS-cm9-aokp-slim.1.5.1\XTRAS\system\lib
to /system/lib

Very Important: Set permissions for all these copied files to rw-r--r--
or in other words check owner,group and others under Read column, and check only owner under Write column. Uncheck all others.

Reboot and the Android System will update and you are good to go.

I have a non-supported rom for this addon. And that is how I got all the desired apps installed and working.

I noticed a big problem after flashing this: My phone won't get recognized by my PC when connecting it with the USB cable. I only can mount USB storage when entering recovery and mount it there.

USB drivers are installed on my PC.

Just go to task manager and clear memory and all your apps will show.

Try this.
Switch off phone > Remove battery > 5 mins > connect phone to pc > Reinsert battery > switch on phone . pop up saying usb device not recognised may appear twice and then phone may be recognised.
Try cleaning the cherging / usb slot of phone as well using sharp pin.
These helped me of same issue yesterday.
