Another victim of the Incredible 4G LTE uncertainty. Just went ahead and pre-ordered the SIII - Pebble Blue 16G. Another 'unlimited' customer can sleep with peace of mind again.

Hate leaving HTC though.

I've grown so used to this dinc, and it has been very reliable thus far. I was considering the dinc 4g, but I prefer amoled over LCD... So leaving towards gs3

Been waiting for another Verizon installment in the Galaxy S series since the fascinate (which I missed due to my o so lovely dinc). I've always been HTC since the MDA days, but I think its time to give sammy a chance.

All over the GSIII. God the 7th cannot arrive any sooner.

They moved the tentative release of the GS III to the 10th, it was announced sometime middle of last week. I went ahead and ordered the Rezound as I really don't like Samsung phones, much prefer HTC and this is the best they got right now on Verizon. Oh and the GS III is going to be a monster, I saw an ad for the One X where a guy is jogging with it and it is huge, barely fits his hand and the GS III is even bigger.

rezound has a nice screen, but a last-gen CPU. Way slower than the s4 -.-

I don't know about that, I've held/played with the One X and I didn't think it was too big. It's smaller than the Galaxy Nexus (thickness) and since I was about a week away from settling for the nexus, the s3 totally works for me. If the incredible LTE comes out and is that much better, then meh, so is life, pay to play. I like my phones in white anyway

You'll never notice the difference in speed, and don't start quoting bench tests as we all know they are not accurate in phones. Its all just a matter of perception. The S4 in theory should have better battery life and lower temps but that still remains to be seen. And in 6 mos the S4 will be last gen same as the S3 so its all relevant as Qualcomm is working on a quad LTE processor which should be out by the end of the year. You're better off buying a phone you like instead of chasing after specs and I like the Rezound. Its got the right size screen, good development community, fair price and its HTC, which is what I want.

Your purchase, dude. But there have been comparisons made between the one x/s3/gnex.. Apparently the last gen phones have much more noticeable lag compared to the ones just being released now. And the cpu performance difference between the dinc and rezound is the same as between rezound and one x/dinc 4g..in another two years, I could see the latest gen phones still holding up fine while the rezound/razr start to struggle

Did I forget to mention I got the Rezound for $80? For me price trumps cutting edge every day.

I preordered two Samsung Galaxy S III phones (one blue, one white) to replace my Incredible and her Incredible 2.

My Incredible was beyond its two year mark and has a h/w issue causing reboots during certain operations, so I was due for a phone anyway. Her Incredible 2 wasn't up for a discount until next year, so I transferred the upgrade from our basic phone on the account and was able to get the discount rates.

This staves off losing our unlimited data plans for at least a year beyond what we expected (i.e., no upgrading her Incredible 2 next year) due to ordering before June 28th, and moves us up to 4G in the process. The difference in cost vs. new family data sharing rates and monthly phone charges easily exceeds the cost of upgrading her phone a year early.

We really enjoyed our Incredibles, though - I was willing to stay on my rooted Incredible with jermaine151's Insensitive Minimalist for even longer, but the phone had a recurring bug that caused unexpected reboots at the worst times under every ROM it has ever run . . . so, it eventually needed a replacement.
