Good work..:) but Why you guys not showing support for Mike to start project ..? I know him for past three months & he is very good in development grounds so please support him guys.. Today he releasing beta for BADA To ICS polish blood port.. Let's bring it to our dear DS5..
Smiled at this one.
What kind of support? Development - all results are being available under terms of GPL license (read: are reuseable). Everyone including Mike (and you ) is free to use them in his own efforts, collaborate on improving them, sharing information to others - everything that keeps development evolving is good thing. Moral support? High five to everyone developing for streak, if i can help on this field - i'll do my best.
As of material support - I don't think it's necessary (read this twice - I'm not against donations, i just don't think streak price is that high that any given person explicitly needs external funding to get one). Also, none of streak-related projects that required community to fund them got successful to my knowledge. Point me if i managed to miss any of these.

I really appreciate your efforts. Hope we could help out in anyway possible. Testing hopefully? I really like my streak and wouldn't want another phone in the market. Price and built quality being the reason. All the best man. You the dude.

Yes I agree with you but he is having very good experience in ICS development & he have all drivers too so i think it ll be good for DS5 ICS development, but he seems to lost his money for EURO'12. So if possible we can give material support too since adding a good developer in DS5 development sounds good rite.? once he have streak only, he could start it rite..? I asked him to purchase let see, but it is not harm to support a developers like You & mike ,etc..

I too don't want anyother device, want my streak to be the best all the time..:) We always support developers ..:)
Well...It's been built mainly to check if my changes to dsc kernel were sufficient to boot it with new adreno libs
I didn't tested it as of yet. Wifi is able to connect to access point. rild is functional - partially, when SIM card PIN is set - phone ain't asking for it which may be count as bug. Message app ain't showing in app list - no idea why, apk is getting built along with rest of rom.
There's no sound - some weird libaudio prob.
Bluetooth - seem to be working - i was able to pair phone with bt headse.
As of internals of rom - logcat is filled with gralloc.qsd8k errors - i believe these are the reason of phone being sluggish.
Going to provide structured info on rom bit later (should i do this here or in development?). Will post links to kernel source, dev files (these are hPa's with minor changes needed to build against aosp source tree instead of cm9) along with rom itself.

Did you have to modify amss and dsp? Just like we had to do to get GB working on...
Prolly. I'm sort of exhausted at the moment. 3g not gonna work in visible future - i've figured reason why it's not working, but resolving this issue will take quite big amount of time - aosp's telephony services turn to be very basic and none of custom classes for extending it for support real-life devices exist in aosp source tree. Turns out i have to port these (well, actually one of them plus dependencies) from cm9 - which is not trivial task. I've did straight, "wipe everything we don't need" port already, it compiles successfully but, sadly, refuses to work right If there's anyone with java skills willing to participate in resolving issue (unhandled exceptions) - welcome aboard
There's another option - switching from aosp to cm sources, but it's counters with project goal. I guess I'll try to build cm9 to see if it gives less headaches (really tired of figuring that "this and this and that and couple of those" have to be ported from non-aosp sources simply because hardware is unsupported by aosp. Seeing that rom slowly turns to be opposite of what it planned to be is, well, disappointing ).

I think better you switching to cm9, I saw most ICS development hv changed the base from aosp to cm9. Beside that, cm9 hv so much features and themes, but the important things that give you less headaches
Just no need to push yourself too hard. No matter this is aosp or cm9, what you hv done really amazing and awesome.
I'm very sorry can't help you much because I don't hv knowledge about linux code and compiling. But if you need any help beside that just say it, I will gladly to help you.
With over 700,000 apps in the Google Play store and more than 48 billion app installs, it’s … more
XDA Developers was founded by developers, for developers. It is now a valuable resource for people who want to make the most of their mobile devices, from customizing the look and feel to adding new functionality. Are you a developer?
