That's why you have internet at home, for those kinds of things. You don't need to tether inside your house.

Also, I PERSONALLY could not sit there and stare at my screen (not that I even could, Thunderbolt battery life is beyond horrible) all day. I understand what you're saying but they, like the post above me mentioned, have to make money somehow as well.

What I'm getting to is there is no reason to use that much data every month. I have unlimited and I love it. I use it to stream Pandora, Netflix occasionally and my Google Music all the time. I still average out to around 2 - 5 gigs a month. I would not want to change from unlimited to anything else, but I find it absurd that people can pull off so much data for no reason.

I rarely tether (though I do tether from time to time my laptop) and I average between 15-20gigs a month. Also I rarely have to charge my phone more than at night when I sleep. It can be done. Besides we shouldn't have to pay for the same service twice. It's not about making money, it's about making more money (greed). Greed is what is killing this country and why I am ashamed to be an American.

That's the silliest thing I've read all day.

Anyway - if you actually use 15-20GB a month, and don't tether, then what exactly are you doing that requires so much bandwidth? Netflix? I'll admit I don't use that much 3G data anymore (shorter drive to work), but I used to stream Pandora or Slacker for at least an hour (sometimes up to 8 hours), and watch the Office...and very rarely even hit 4GB in a month.

I used to use 6GB+ a month, back when I streamed Pandora every night and was never on WiFi. By using Google Music (which caches my music), and using WiFi at home I now only use 1.5-3GB per month.

Anybody that thinks using over 10g a month w/o tethering is ignorant, I do it every month by doing normal things like using what people call internet. I never tether, have WiFi at home and do absolutely nothing illegal, some do, but I don't like being classed as the problem becouse a lucky few were smart enough to have or keep unlimited data. Preach to Verizon if they never offered it we wouldn't have it.

With the $40 smart phone access makes sure you don't save money under new plan, is it basically 9.99 normal access fee and 29.99 data fee just like it always was. Only thing different is u get cheaper unlimited talk, if people use phones to talk anymore. The new plans would not save my family any money I already did all calculations more money for less data.....90 bucks for 8 GBs when my parents alone pay $60 for 8 GBs.....I thought Verizon would try to make this work well for families, instead they this less is more money!!!
